I have searched and followed multiple walkthroughs, mostly for other macbook models, but I cannot get sound on my macbook 5,1 with Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04. I use ubuntu for developing, but if I can't listen to music while I do it, then I might as well go back to my mac partition. Help appreciated,

Follow the instructions here exactly, it worked for me except totem doesn't play audio. Not a deal breaker in the least since vlc, rhythmbox, and mplayer all work fine

Actually I don't have a pro. However, you're link led me to this one: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBook5-1/Jaunty#Sound, which did work. So thank you,
