I have a desktop 4 core PC right now running XP with applications I need. I really don't want to reinstall and all the other stupid apps that go with it. I am lazy.

The demo mode works fine from the CD.

I'd like to make some space and install Ubuntu as a Dual Boot option, but the problem is that My primary OS is on a striped 4x200GB RAID. This would allow me to surf without windows crashing, etc. It's an ASUS motherboard. The regular CD installer doesn't see the RAID and the WUBU makes a 30G partiion, gives me a boot option, but then exits to a shell on boot rather than Ubuntu.

Is what I'm trying to do even supported ? Should I just buy another hard drive, Can I boot this from a memory card ?

Sorry if these questions are stupid basic .
