prpblem with synaptic package manager PLZ HELP!!

hi!
i have linux ububtu 8.04 some days now and i have install lots of programs with synaptic package manager but now i am trying to open it and it tels me that i have enter wrong password!!!
but i have enter the right 1!!!! if i dont know the password how i can open linux plz help!!

I think you want this (http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/resetpassword). Your password however can't change based on anything synaptic to my knowledge, it is set up at install and remains the same until you decide to change it. Just pick a new one and it should work.
