View Full Version : [gnome] Nautilus doesn't show jars

In terminal everything is OK. But i can't browse jars! How to fix nautilus file association or mime types? I've shortly reinstalled it, so could be missing package!

Click View > Show hidden files

.Jar are hidden ?

Or you need to edit /usr/share/mime/packages/freedesktop.org.xml and assign an icon for the .jar file type.

No, hidden isn't the problem.

You could also download assogiate from the repos. It will be easier than editing the .xml file.

assogiate is nice tool, but just restarted pc and now everything works!

Yeah it's alot easier than editing /usr/share/mime/packages/freedesktop.org.xml

assogiate is nice tool, but just restarted pc and now everything works!

It is a good tool but i guess it is a dead project?
