I am currently in the middle of my 2 week vacation and was packing my bag up tonight as I head to the second part of my vacation in the morning and was wondering, what are the things that I absolutely must have while traveling. So I made this list and was wondering, what do you need?

My list:

Lenovo S10 Netbook
Bluetooth Mouse
Nokia E70
Moleskine Pocket Notebook and pen
Bluetooth Headset
iPod Shuffle and cables
Headphones
AC inverter (If it is a long road trip)
Clothing
EDIT : Passport and tickets

I don't really travel, so as a result I've grown to need (besides clothing and passport, etc.):

My Nintendo DS

Probably some chocolate, and...

Well, most of the stuff I need (Desktop, PS2...) I can't take with me... :(

Maybe that's why I don't travel. 8-[

Nice thread!

I need:

A book.
My DS.
Clothing.
Toiletries.
My tickets/passport/other papers/ID.
Money.
MP3 player and earphones.

Now that I have the netbook, I think I'll be taking that more too.

Laptop (with the charger!)
Dog (There's an old picture of him here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Morkie_puppy_maltese-like.png))
DS (with the charger and a few games)
Amethyst amulet (It's really just a medium-sized polished Amethyst on a string of nylon)
a pair of underwear (maybe two if it's a really long trip)
clothes
English-Spanish dictionary (You never know when this can really come in handy)
A cup from a convenience store (There are times during road trips when the driver really doesn't want to stop for restroom breaks)
Python book (The programming language, not the reptile)
C++ books (I seldom read these, as C++ is quite bloated, IMHO)
C book (Because there are times when C++ is just plain bad at a task)

By the way, shouldn't the title be: "What must you have whilst traveling?"
