HFCS-Free Soda = Soda that is made without High Fructose Corn Syrup.

High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) – called isoglucose[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-fructose_corn_syrup#cite_note-0) in Europe and glucose-fructose in Canada – comprises any of a group of corn syrups (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corn_syrup) that has undergone enzymatic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enzymatic) processing to convert its glucose into fructose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fructose) and has then been mixed with pure corn syrup (100% glucose (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glucose)) to produce a desired sweetness (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweetness). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-fructose_corn_syrup

Mexican coca-cola. I have a bottle right next to me at the moment, it's a treat, as I don't drink soda very often.

Anyway, this poll is rather U.S oriented.
For those in the EU, high fructose corn syrup is banned from food and drink (lucky!). So pretty much any brand you like should be hfcs free there...

So some Ubuntu user in Spain, please have some orange Fanta for my sake, and really enjoy it!

/me pines for Spain...

I wish the FDA here would do something good for Americans like that. Instead they are busy picking on the electric smoke free cigarettes. How many people really use those things?

Imagine how many pounds of fat would be avoided in Americans if we were to ban HFCS.

Man, oh man, do I love me some Boylans. Every soda I have tried from Boylans has always been very tasty :) Virgil's soda is also very good, too - you may want to try it and/or add it to your list.

Are the Sioux City sodas HFCS-free? Those are quite good as well.

(I'm kind of a soda snob, if you couldn't tell. ;))

The high octane Texas Dr.Pepper is the only one of those I have tried and it was great. Got it for free, too. My previous employer's Senior Vice Pres. bought it by the Pallet and gave me one bottle 'cause I was the one who utilized the fork lift to remove from big rig to his pick-up. Funny, a diabetic with a love for soda.

I am curious to know, does the Archer Farms brand Natural Italian soda have garlic in it?

Really? I didn't know that. What's the rationale behind that?

Your body usually has the capability to stop absorbing sugar into the blood when you've had too much, but with HFCS your body doesn't know when to stop and can cause a hard attack amongst other things. While it may taste yummy, it can kill you. That is why it aggravates me to see the US FDA picking on smoking products when smokers know they are killing themselves but HFCS is a silent killer.

Yes they sell it here in the US, it is made in Santa Fe, New Mexico USA

I think you can find it at places like New Seasons, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Wild Oats, or your local alternative Co-Op Food store.

Hey thanks! ;)
There is Fanta here, but it has HFCS.

It is just soft drinks after all. It's probably better in general to drink them less often.

One thing I will mention, in the spirit of the thread, is that Trader Joe's (store, some of you here know it) carries gummy (like Gummy bears or Jelly babies) penguins (not Tux but still cute,) imported from France made with actual sugar. They are good!

But my true favorite is Antarctica Guarana

Coke Zero.

I don't care about the supposed possible health risks of consuming aspartame.

Ever since I switched to diet soda, I can't stand the taste and consistency of regular soda.

Every Dr. I have ever had tells me it is better to consume sugar over aspartame for that matter HFCS is probably better then aspartame.

You might want to try Zevia the all natural "Zero" soda:

ZEVIA is the first all natural zero calorie soda. With only pure ingredients (http://www.zevia.com/products_natural.html), ZEVIA contains none of the chemically processed artificial sugar substitutes, artificial flavors or artificial colors found in other diet sodas. ZEVIA is all-natural, has zero calories, zero net carbs, zero fat, and little or no sodium (depending on flavor).
All six delicious ZEVIA varieties - ZEVIA Natural Cola, ZEVIA Natural Orange, ZEVIA Natural Twist, ZEVIA Natural Root Beer, ZEVIA Natural Black Cherry, and ZEVIA Natural Ginger Ale - are healthier and taste better than any other diet soda. Click here for answers to Frequently Asked Questions (http://www.zevia.com/products_faq.html) about ZEVIA.
Learn the facts about ZEVIA's pure, all natural ingredients (http://www.zevia.com/products_natural.html) including stevia, an herb native to South and Central America used for centuries to sweeten food. Stevia is hundreds of times sweeter than sugar and has no effect on blood sugar levels. Click here to learn more about the history and science of stevia. (http://www.zevia.com/products_stevia.html)

It appears the majority of people like the Pure cane sugar in their Coca-Cola (Mexican Coca-Cola) and Dr. Pepper products (Dublin, TX Dr. Pepper).

Sounds like both Coca-Cola and Dr.Pepper would have been better off leaving Pure Cane Sugar in their products as opposed to switching to HFCS.

We definitely don't have much to compare with a good 30 year bottle of Macallan Scotch Whiskey single malt, we have Jack Daniels and Jim Bean which both bring the barf with no satisfaction. We have Southern Comfort that tastes like Jack Daniels mixed with maple syrup. My wife is glad that a good bottle of Scotch can't be found for under $200 or I'd be going to AA meetings. We also have Cutty Shark brand Scotch made in Puerto Rico, gross! They made the best Rum on those Islands, they really should leave the Scots to do their business the right way.

I've tried Gentleman Jack also but I just don't care for the flavor of it. I mostly drink tequila in the summer and Scotch in the winter. The tequila is good because I can drink water and stay hydrated while enjoying it and in the winter the Scotch just warms the soul.

I haven't had the aforementioned, but rather Single Barrel. It has a much fuller taste than Black Label. Not everyone likes tennessee whiskey though.

Wild Turkey is pretty good too.
