Initially I lost the top Gnome panel.
I can get it back through the Terminal with gnome-panel & but as soon as I close the terminal window, the panel disappears again.
Also..........shouldn't ALT +F2 bring up a terminal? Mine doesn't.
Shouldn't it be possible to resize windows.....mine won't resize anymore...or move.
Also....shouldn't you be able to move windows around a bit more by holding down ALT as you move the window? Mine doesn't do that either.
I'm awfully sad.
