I downloaded Spring RTS engine from their website (www.springrts.com (http://www.springrts.com)), and while Kernal Panic, the mod that comes packaged, works well, the mods I download crash the game to desktop. I installed the mods in a mods directory, but this didn't work at all. I didn't see Kernal Panic in this directory.
Anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue?

Are you using it through Spring Lobby?
Run it in terminal "spring" should work, and see the output when you select the mod.

Yeah, I was using the lobby. I selected NOTA and Complete Annihilation, it'd load everything. The game would start, then it'd crash as if nothing happened.
So, I just load the terminal, type "spring" and it should give me options or something? I'll post the results once I get them.
Thanks for the reply.

It should load up the actualy spring client itself (a GUI where you can do test games and such).
So if we do it this way and it works, we can safely say it is a lobby problem.

Command: "Spring" loaded the game. I had only one error:
CobWarning: Couldn't find a piece named "shoulder" in the model (in scripts/armbase.cob)
I have the OTA stuff in a file called base, as it said to do, but other than that the game played fine.
How do I fix the lobby?

Try downloading a newer version of your lobby.
If it's spring lobby look here -> http://springlobby.info/wiki/springlobby/Install
May be good to find your version first and see if there is a newer one. Also try searching the spring linux forum for that error.
