Okay, so I got the RAR .ZIP file of Ubuntu On my Desktop and I have InfraRecorder, Do I just Burn the RAR .ZIP File on the CD? I tried this, and it said something like "Error reading Disk." Can anyone help? A good Program that Converts RAR to ISO Would help, or something like that. :(

Forget using unrar (or similar) for the ISO file you have downloaded. Have a look here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto

Extract the ISO from the RAR, then burn the ISO using your favorite ISO image burning software. Where did you get this rar from? My advice is download from an official source, such as: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download

I recommend 8.04 it is a Long Term Support(LTS) release. Again, use your favorite disk burning utility to burn an ISO to CD.

note: (not sure if it's relevant here) Sometimes if a person has software like "Winrar" installed on their Windows system, it causes .iso files to show up as .rar files on Windows Explorer, even if they're not - something to do with associating a file type with a particular appplication. I've had it happen on my own machines, and I've seen it cause confusion elsewhere in the forums.

Get an official disk. A step by step procedure can be obtained under getting started section of linux.host22.com
