hi
Thanks in advance for helping,
i just installed ubuntu 9.04 it was a delight the way it took all the devices etc easily, but the problem is with updation. it says that there is no space left on the installation..

i have acer aspire 4520 laptop with 160 gb hard disk
2.5 gb ram
1.8 ghz amd athalon processor

ubuntu has been installed side y side with windows xp genuine.

i am not being able to either install any thing or update my system, and there is a lot of space on the computer every where.

the exact error shown is

The upgrade needs a total of 391M free space on disk '/'. Please free at least an additional 391M of disk space on '/'. Empty your trash and remove temporary packages of former installations using 'sudo apt-get clean'.

PLEASE HELP

Well, depends on how large is your home dir.. Do you have a sepatate partition for /home? Post the output of
