i installed ubuntu to am external hard drive yesterday and now i'm having a problem, when i boot with the external attached everything is fine i am given a choice of what OS i would like to boot "vista internal" or "ubuntu installed on external" no problem there.
but when i switch off and try booting without the external attached vista can't boot because the computer is trying to access the initial menu system offereing boot preference.
i can still access both OS but only now with the external HD attached.
any IDEAS???
