It's over 9000!

Do you sell Ubuntu CDs by any chance?

(side note: I doubt it's 9000!. 9000! is quite a large number indeed. Please excuse my pedantry)

My guess is about probably above 20 cds for myself. I tend to play around and break things a lot heh.

I voted 1-9. Was more like 3. I usually get mine through shipit.

Anyway, do you guys give them around, install them on the computers of everyone you know, or are you just not aware you can reuse them ? :)

I give them out, but I also never label my CDs. This has led to some occasional clear-outs where I just binned 500 CDs rather than go through them all!

Blame cheap media, we never did this back when CDs were £1 each and came in their own cases. :)

I've probably burned about 8 as other distros take more space on my shelf. Also I've stopped burning live cds as usb sticks are way better.

About 15. One for every version since Gutsy for myself (X, K, and vanilla), and a few for other people each.

I can't wait to get a new laptop, so I can use my USB stick to install operating systems, instead of wasting discs.

I have burned 3 ubuntus, but I have installed them like 15 times. It gets tiring after a while. Hardy is the most stable os for my machine.

If I had to guess, then I would say ~50. I'm not very consistent about it, but I usually do one of the early alphas, one of the later alphas, sometimes the beta or RC, sometimes the final release. It depends on what kind of showstoppers and bad decisions (on my part) force me to do reinstalls.

These days, since Intrepid alphas, I go the USB route. Much less hassle.

Good grief, I never really thought about it. A lot of them, they disappear, get given away, get scratched up, new versions come out....
