View Full Version : uninstalling os x and installing ubuntu?

i have a macbook black. os x screwed up so i want to do a clean install of ubuntu. can i just burn ubuntu on a cd and pop it in? will it delete my os x partition and install ubuntu? help a brother. ands thanks a bunch

Yeah, it will delete your osx Partition and install ubuntu. Just do a manual partition with Ubuntu Live CD.

am i gonna be able reinstall leopard without any problems in the future if i wanted to?

Yes, the Ubuntu installation will reformat the drive. If you would ever want to switch back, all you do is install OSX which once again reformats the drive. Nothing will remain between switches.

Personally I'd keep a small partition for OSX in case you need to boot into Leopard for any given reason
