Using tv as monitor losing settings

Hi,

Got a new tv with pc input but on booting I lose vga signal. So set up my old lcd monitor to lower resolution and tried again.

Connecting to tv I get desktop can change resolution but settings do not stay after reboot

How do I make my new tv default monitor

Have you thought about see if you can edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf for your TV monitor ?

I manged to log in and change settings so it works after log in. but at gdm i get blue screen... so will have to change res on that?
