Hi all,

I am on a Ubuntu Pilgrimage so to speak. I am looking to add cool new stuff to my Ubuntu. Maybe some little known Ubuntu tweaks and tricks.

So far I got Compiz of course but I also compiled some extra plugins:
Aquarium
Atlantis
Screensaver
Stackswitch
Freewins
Rubix cube
Snow globe
Photowheel....

I found some theme tweak but haven't tried it yet:
XPGnome: http://ubuntu.online02.com/node/14
Mac4lin: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac4lin/

I have installed Gnomenu, still have to try out Global Menu.

I have tried XWinWrap. It's ok with the helios wallpaper but the others...nah.

oh, tried Kiba and Cairo docks too.

:lolflag: Now, to my actual point of this thread:

Anybody know of any other cool stuff I should try out? Ubuntu is so fun! So much you can do! ):P

Conky is a great thing you can mess with. I think you would have a good bit of fun with it.

Right click on Applications and go to Edit Menus.

EDIT: I don't see it in there, though... Strange.
REEDIT: Nevermind...I'm just dumb. -_-

Why not see what you can do in the shell?

Here`s me listening to a Dvorak symphony, watching The Boss, browsing Ubuntu Forums and playing Space Invaders.

Ok, I wouldn`t normally do all those things at the same time, but you get the point.

You could write a bash script to auto reply to every suggestion given to you in your thread about what cool things can you do with Ubuntu, dismissing them.

Or you could learn to breathe circularly and record yourself on the didgeridoo, make it an endlessly repeating cycle and use it as a soundtrack for your latest home movie.

Or you could help a newly married couple to win a washing machine........see below

I have tried XpGnome, Vista theme, Win 7 theme, Mac4lin, xwinwrap, Global Menu, Gnomenu, Cairo menu, kiba dock, cairo dock, gnome do, awn, Ubuntu tweak,...
