Thank you for reading my post
I have been using my laptop and today it hanged twice, the caps lock led start blinking, mouse was not working and kyeboard was not working too.
I tried to open a new ALT+CTRL+F3 to see whats going on but those keys didnt work either.

I should tell you that it hangs when I tried to open a doc file using openoffice, the same file can be opened using MS-Office running in wine without any problem.

I have Thinkpad T400, 4 gig of ram, running ATI driver for my ATI video cart, laptop has a 7200 rpm hard disk. is there any way to diagnosis the problem? because after it hangs I must press and hold the shutdown button for some seconds to make the laptop shutdown and start it again.
