View Full Version : [ubuntu] Protected Wireless Internet

I noticed that when I try to connect to a wireless connection that comes with password that whenever I type in the password, it must have a number in the password or else it will not allow me to click the "connect" button. It stays greyed out. While visiting a friend's parent's house, I wasn't able to try to connect because their password consisted of just letters. So I typed a "1" after the password and it connected (somehow). I came back to the house again this week am trying it again and it isn't connecting anymore. I type in the same thing I did before and it loads for awhile, attempting to connected, then pops back up with "Please give me your password" again with a random password filled into it (seen when I click the "show password button")

My question is: Does Ubuntu have a problem connecting to wireless connections with a password and what should I do to try to connect?
