HP mini Grub error 15

Tried installing 9.04 in a dual boot with XP on my HP mini 1035nr.

I now get a GRUB Error 15. My mini now doesn't see anything from USB therefore, I cannot reorder the boot order to boot from a usb device. Of course Mini's don't have dvd or cd roms. I have one, but it is an external from USB.

This has made it so that my mini boots to a broken grub error 15 and that's it. No windows, no Ubuntu now.

Any body have anything to fix this current boat anchor back into the mini computer I love?

F12 at boot doesn't bring up the boot-options (including USB)?

Is USB-boot enabled in bios?

There is no F12.

But F9 is "change change boot device order"
F10 is "BIOS setup options"

In the bios and in the boot order, it doesn't show any USB device now when they are plugged in. It had seen it before the install. In fact, that is how I was installing. via a CD iso from an external cd drive.

I spent hours yesterday booting and rebooting trying to get it to see the USB device. I got so damn mad my wife said just step away from it. Went to bed fuming and wake up this morning and it magically decides to see USB devices again. I hate it when she is right... especially when its unexplainable. lol
