Not sure if this is the correct place for this...

What sorts of software exist for Ubuntu that can do HDRs and Panoramas? I'm not looking for one single program that can do this, but some suggestions for both would be great. Vista is giving me issues lately and I want to work on some photos until I get around to fixing it. Thanks

Well you're in luck! For HDR you have qtpfsgui:
http://qtpfsgui.sourceforge.net/

And then for Panorama you have Hugin:

For Pano's AutoStitch (http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html) does a decent job. It is a windows app, but works without problems in WINE.

I read that another poster got autostitch to work under Wine. My brother bought me the above and can't get it to run. It installs ok and shows under C:\Programs, but it won't execute. I am running Ubuntu 9.10 and still a newbie at it, having dumped windows altogether. I enjoy digital photography and this would add to what I have. Not satisfied with the way Hugin works as it does not do a nice job of smoothing like autopano does in windows. Just no comparison IMHO. Any suggestions are appreciated.
