Hello, I have noticed a strange problem occurring on three separate laptops after a fresh install of 9.04. If I enable automatic or timed login, the computer wont boot properly, getting just past the point where you might put in your username/password and stopping at a black screen with a cursor. From this point I can press Ctrl+Alt+F1 and fiddle around in a terminal, but I haven't yet found a way to solve anything there. Pressing Alt+SysReq+K gets me back to the login window where if I type in my username/password it will boot normally. One of the computers has (magically, I think) fixed its self and boots fine, but the other two, an Acer Aspire and a HP Pavilion wont cooperate with automatic logins. I can't figure out what on earth is wrong, and to make it more frustrating, the HP used to automatically login with 8.10. So, if anybody has a suggestion or idea I'd like to hear it.

A suggestion:

Install "startup-manager".
