That applies to quite a few more timers than the Windows file copy dialog, but yes, it is hilarious.

It is definitely better than the Windows one that's for sure, but I have seen it say something like 55,000 days to download some packages in Synaptic before :D

s = (S*k)/c

Where little "s" is the current speed of the operation.
Where big "S" is the original speed of the operation.
Where little "c" is the percentage of the operation which has been completed.
Where little "k" is a constant which varies, depending on the type of operation, from one to zero.

Yeah, that's the original. Probably the most popular Linux comic ever.

Yeah everyone knows how slow windows copies files, and how inaccurate the timing is, I wonder if 7 will fix that....

Nah, This (http://xkcd.com/400/)

This is the best one. You have to have it happen to you though. Mine was the Thunder Cats theme.

Mine was the Monorail song from The Simpsons :|

At the risk of this becoming an XKCD quoting thread, I think this one (http://xkcd.com/327/) is great.

Truth hurts, eh?

Just kidding, just kidding. ;)

But seriously... After meeting my share of Linux fanboys, it's impossible for me not to smile when I see this one.

What I meant was that I didn't understand the comic, therefore I don't find it funny.

So it's just a guy who says he runs Linux, then gets run over by a bike, what's so funny about that?

He doesn't get run over, he does a super-movie-physics backflip running mount onto the bike and rides away all dare-devily. It's the superhero-rides-into-the-sunset exit that makes it funny.

Hyperbole FTW!

The comic makes fun of Linux fanboys (and Apple fanboys as well, check the tooltip) who think they are super cool and superior because they use an operating system that doesn't need an antivirus. It shows how they probably picture themselves in their minds.

In case anyone was wondering how Munroe manages to "get" the geek community so well, Bunny has the explanation (http://bunny-comic.com/1365.html).

That's a personal favorite too. But that probably scares you more than comforts, huh?

I also enjoy the series, Leet (http://xkcd.com/341/) and The Secretary. (http://xkcd.com/494/) There's just a huge amount of internet/hacker memes there. The logarithmic ones are cool, height (http://xkcd.com/482/) and depth. (http://xkcd.com/485/) Then, who doesn't love Zealous Autoconfig. (http://xkcd.com/416/)

But I really need to stop there, because I'm gonna link a good 5th of the total as my top-of-the-list favorites.
