Hello community, as always I try to make it as short as possible - and as note: I searched the forum and also launchpad...

After a quite uneventful upgrade to 9.04 ... (I had some problems with my shell due to a bug: (/dev/pts and /dev/shm not mounted on boot -> https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/insserv/+bug/321927) which I resolved now with the provided solution there (messed up order in rcS.d !)

Before the upgrade I had following drives:
sda (main system)
sdb (data)
sdc (data)
sdd (data)
sde (fakeraid)
sdf (fakeraid)

After the upgrade the order is like this:
sda (fakeraid)
sdb (fakeraid)
sdc (data)
sdd (data)
sde (data)
sdf (data)

Is there any possibility to make the order as before the upgrade? It seems it made me quite some problems with samba etc. I personnally think it has to do with the messed up order in rcS.d ?

A couple of years ago the order might have mattered, but not so much any longer.

Try doing your fstab stuff by UUID, check these links:
