hello all,

I need some help with installing ubuntu on a old pc that i have.The problem is the pc doenst have a Cd-rom or floppy drive,is there any way i can install ubuntu on it via pxe-boot rom method?

HAve a look at this page (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation), there is a link for local network installation.

The other thing you can do is use the cd-rom drive from your current computer just for the installation.

if it has windows you can try WUBI, though I think its more for XP and vista then older versions of windows.

@cariboo

i have other system with fedora on it,can i use the cdrom from the fedora machine to install ubuntu on the remote machine over the network using nfs or ftp? I'm not sure if its possible.
