People from the EU and other areas may not know him, nor may the younger generation of the Americas, but the older generation surely will. Even as one of the younger generation of USA, I know he will be missed by all.

RIP, Walter.

He was there for the Apollo 11 moon landing.

A very distinguished reporter.

Condolences to kith and kin.

He was a household name in all of middle-class America, and was so influential that he was the main reason that Lyndon B. Johnson didn't go for reelection.
