View Full Version : [ubuntu_studio] Flash PLayer youtube not working

Hey

I don't know whats wrong but, I installed flashplayer from the adobe website and it installed without a problem. Now I go to play youtube videos and it says that either I don't have flash player or my java is not turned on.

How do I know I have java turned on?

i take it you are using firefox?,...if so goto >edit >preferences > content and see if java is ticked on

oh... it is turned on... how come I can't play youtube? I got my flash player installed

did you restart firefox after installing adobe flash player?

also look at (firefox) > tools > addons >plugins > and enable shockwave flash (left click on it and see if it is enabled0

yeap I restarted it still nothing.. and I looked in the plugins and there is no shockwave flash there...

try this goto > system > administration > synaptic package manager ... and click search icon (magnifying glass) and type adobe-flashplugin and install this...

installed already yes? if so (firefox) goto > edit >preferences > applications > shockwave flash file ...and in drop down menu ,choose "use shockwave flash"

oh man... its installed and it doesn't appear in the applications. So confusing LOL

hmmm this is bad...lol ... maybe go back and try a reinstall of the flashplugin in synaptic ,i cant think of anything else atm,but i will stay on it....
