It mixes random Garfield comics together.
There are some REALLY random and funny ones that come out of there.

Ha:

John: "Bath day."
John: "I'm going to meditate."
Garfield: "Christmas is coming! Have you been good?"

The generator's funnier (and more bizarre) if you set the starting year to 1991.

I like Garfield and all, but am I the only one in this thread who isn't laughing at what this generator produces?

You have to try a while until you find a really funny one. Or maybe you're just having bad luck.

I clicked on the generator 47 times (I counted) before finally giving up.

In the one it generated for me, Nermal was turned into chunky soup. If that's not funny I don't know what is.

These are the only entertaining Garfield cartoons I have ever seen.

Here's a modified version which will include the classic strips (set the starting year back to 1979 instead of 2001.)

(And because of attachment restrictions, it's compressed from 2.5 Kib to 1.1 Kib.)

Isn't this how the strip was produced originally?

No, that's Family Guy your thinking of.

Wow, Garfield minus Garfield is INCREDIBLY depressing. And repetitive. And empty.
From now on, I'm going to present the claim that Garfield cartoons are hiding depressing subliminal messages behind the fuzzy orange exterior, and are thus a major weight on society as a whole.
Very eye-opening.

I'm going to sit in a corner and cry now :(

If you want funny garfield comics just read the early ones. I don't find any of these generated ones funny.

That one was epically spectacular!

Though I have to agree it's much easier to get good ones when using older ones.
Here's mine.

I honestly feel really bad for Jon Arbuckle now, after observing him directly Poor guy. He's so ronery... :(
I felt so bad for him, actually, that I have subscribed to both Garfield and Garfield-Garfield in my feed reader, in the hopes that the extra company will save him from the horrible (http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/post/126410319) nervous (http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/post/128058955) breakdown (http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/post/129315811).

Now I'm saving copies of the Garfield-Garfield cartoons so that I can draw in new cats (http://icanhascheezburger.com/) to keep the poor guy company.

...Now that I think about it, that is kinda sad. :(

It's funny how in some comics Jon seemingly can read garfields mind. :P
