A friend recently recommend me to try some text-to-speech library as a way to build up my profile, and I think I can figure a place to use it. The question, however, is: I do not know what library to use.

Here's the ones I considered:
a) Digital future text-to-speech SDK (if they still have the free version)
b) Festival Speech Synthesizer
c) eSpeak text-tospeech
d) ???

I do not have preference in terms of licensing, of course. My main concern is able to do REnglish and Romaji, too.

Bump. Okay, after searching, I found the digital future's one only have Apple version that is free, so scratch that. In that case, which one would be better, Festival or eSpeak?

I know that Festival is behind most open source text-to-speech projects, includign KSayIt, but I have yet heard of espeak. The only thing I know is that XO include them (whether they are good is a huge question mark)
