I have created my own Live CD (and USB) as a test tool. It boots to a gnome desktop with various IP and networking test tools. The intention is to set up one or more laptops running this CD to test and fault find our IP networks.
I have two major issues that I would like some help one.
1> By default the CD logs in using the username 'ubuntu' and no password. I need to ssh in to these laptops and this is not possible without a password. How do I create a password for the default user? Or should I create another user and password that account? If so how?
2> What do I add to the append line in the syslinux.cfg file to create a text only session (i.e. No gnome).
