Hey folks, I'm a total newbie to Ubuntu or really anything outside of the Windows world.
So here's the deal, I'm trying to install Ubuntu on a partition (vista is on the other side of that partition) but when I boot from the disc it freezes on that first splash page where I get the options for install or check disc and so on. I have tried burning the disc on two burners and several different disc brands of discs and still no dice. Being that I haven't a clue what to do at this point any help would be wonderful.
