I have a PC with four onboard SATA ports and a SIL3114 based card in but want to use an IDE drive for the OS through the motherboard (there is going to be a lot of storage).
My problem is that the IDE drive is detected as /dev/sdf and this confuses GRUB which goes to loading stage 1.5 then reports error 15!
Any suggestions? :confused:
