I know that the official way to get the latest KOffice is to use the backports ppa, but this causes major problems. This is also the official way to get the latest test version of KDE 4.3, which I do not want. It seems ridiculous that you would be forced to upgrade to a test version of the entire desktop environment just for a simple bugfix. Is there any way to just get KOffice2.0.1?

Interestingly enough this also happened with Amarok 2.1. It then suddenly came available from another source a few weeks later (I'm not sure which one).

You could just go to the ppa url and download the packages you want. You'll probably need to go through a few iterations of "Cannot install X because it needs Y.... Download Y and try and install... Cannot install Y because it needs Z" etc.
