Get this error on an Hp proliant dl 140

Dual Xeon 3.2ghz 2gbs of ram.

I ran the mem check and got like 100,000 error non stop.

Edit:

I have downloaded the alternate cd and it seems to be installing fine. I was previosly using the live cd.

Have another question as this is a dual processor board, with hyperthreading will Ubuntu see technically four cpu's?

Owie, is this a fresh install?
Intrepid had many bugs for me as wel, seeing a kernel panic does not surprise me.

Same annoying problem here, after a fresh 9.04 Jaunty reinstall.

Motherboard ASUS P4S8X-MX
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.26GHz
2 GB RAM

I don't know, really, how to fix this.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks.
