Firefox 3.5 appearance

Hey guys, just installed FF3.5 on Jaunty 9.04. Everything is working except the appearence. Wondering if this is normal. FF is not accepting my appearance settings and instead the writing appears very thin and basically without effects. If i switch back to FF3.0+ the effects are still there.

Any ideas?

p.s i think the new version is missing the subpixel smoothing LCD's

I'm pretty sure that's a statically linked binary so its going to ignore what your GTK is doing.

Not until there's a version in the repositories, I had the same on Arch Linux but it looks normal again since it arrived in extra.

So FF 3.5 wont be available as a download via the repos for 9.04?

Just did the install and it throws up a welcome to ff 3.5 but the browser is called shiretoko?

wtf is that? and if it was 3.5 why not just call it FF?

Shiretoko was the development name, Gran Paradiso was 3 - it doesn't matter.

Yeah the difference is very subtle :) Look at the font on the browser more so than inside the window.
