What is a good twitter client for linux? For a while now, I've been using tweetdeck, and it suited my needs perfectly for sending a few tweets here and there and reading a bunch of tweets (about 50 a day). Unfortunately they removed the feature that allowed tweet deck to run in the taskbar, so now it is impractical to launch it every time I want to read a tweet.

I know gnome do had a twitter client, but gnome do is kind of a pain to figure out.

Any suggestions, or preferences?

Gwibber is nice and is in the 9.04 repositories. It is also compatible with Facebook, Flickr, identi.ca, Digg, and others.

I just found tweetfox, and it does exactly what I need it to.

Add the microblog-purple plugin and you can use Pidgin (http://andyduffell.com/techblog/?p=126).
