I guess if Google Chrome Os is open source and built from scratch then it will be a benifit for the other linux distros as being open source the soucre code can be use in the distros where as Chrome won't use any of the existing CODE making UBUNTU even stronger.. and the best part the source code will be available by year end so who knows the Ubuntu might launch the updated Os version before Chrome OS
