I just tried to install Ubuntu 9.04, Ubuntu 9.04 Minimal, Ubuntu server and none of them installed, they gave the same error the previous poster stated, it said that i should contact my bios manufacturer. I tried setting AHCI mode (I think thats how its spelt) in the BIOS. It then went to a blank screen instead of the BIOS error screen mentioned before. I also have a XFX motherboard (not sure of the exact model, will check when I get a chance, possibly the same as the previous poster).

Any information? anything I'm doing wrong?
