8.04 better than 9.04 in visual effect???

I don't know but when i use hardy to run my computer, the visual effects are so smooth. But when i switched to jaunty or ibex, they told me that visual effects can not be enabled?? Any ideas???

Your Video Card? Did you install the driver for it?

My Dell Optiplex has a certain Intel video onboard, I had the same problem. There was a way to fix it in Intrepid but not Jaunty. I had to buy a Nvidia video card to get my effects back.

My graphic card is intel kind so no driver. Maybe i have to save some money for a new graphic card
