I burned an Xubuntu 9.04 Alternate CD, tested md5sum and checked packages at start of install. All were fine. Began installation, at the 80% complete stage the install is hanging at:
"Configuring xfonts-scalable" (80%).
I left it there for over one hour, gave up and shut down the machine.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
