I'm in search of a good UML/SysML Modeling Package that includes the ability to animate the model similar to the way Telelogic/IBM Rhapsody does.

SysML Modeling is a plus, but at a minimum I need UML Modeling capability with the option to animate the model for presentation and validation purposes. I'm using C/C++. Have tried a program called TopCased for modeling SysML, but couldn't figure out if it was able to animate the model like Telelogic Rhapsody does. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I am totally new to UBUNTU and SysML. In a search to find a linux-based SysML software I came across your thread here. I have downloaded Topcased (RCP). My problem is that when I unzip it, I don't find any "exe" or setup file to install the software. Can you tell me how to install Topcased, perhaps, step-by-step?

The unzipped folder contains files with xpm, ini extensions. Also, there are three folders, named Configurations, Features, Plugins. I found the zipped file here:

http://gforge.enseeiht.fr/frs/?group_id=7

I did not find the Topcased website (http://www.topcased.org/) very helpful either.

BTW, I am running UBUNTU 9.04 on a Pentium IV machine with 1 GB of RAM. Thank you very much.

Best,

Ali
