I have a dual boot with XP and 8.04 upgraded to 8.10 with Grub as my bootloader. As soon as the upgrade finished the mouse and keyboard ceases to function at the log in screen (still works at bios). I can now no longer log into Ubuntu or XP as grub is the bootloader and cant get to /boot/grub/menu.lst to reinstate the XP boot. I changed the USB mouse & keyboard for a known working PS2 type but with no difference. I can get to the recovery mode but am unsure what to do from there.
Help would be much appreciated.
