Hi there,
I'm new to Linux, having come from Windows. I'm trying to install 9.04 on a brand new system - AMD64, 250Gb HDD, 1Gb RAM. The partitioner fails to see my SATA drive. The SATA drive works fine if I boot using a Windows startup disk and the Ubuntu Partitioner sees an IDE disk. So, it's the combination of Ubuntu and SATA.
I've seen references to AHCI but this isn't an option in my BIOS and sudo fdisk -l does nothing.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
