USB access

I downloaded the img file on Windows and used Diskimager to write it on a USB. Now I can not see the files that were on the USB previously. There are only files that are associated with Ubuntu. How to access the files?

when you wrote the img file to the thumb drive, you wiped it :(

it may be possible to recover some of the data, however:

how big was the img file, how large is the thumb drive, and how much space is left?

if half of the space on the thumb drive is free, for example, it may be possible to recover up to half of what you had on it before.
