I have question for any of you guys how ca I install the four LAMP components (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and make them work together so that they can display a web page with MySQL data retrieved by PHP. I know some told me that I can use perl or python, I'm newbie on Linux any help would be great thanks.

IF you dont have the server setup already, LAMP is an install option, otherwise, goto howtoforge's website and look it up there TONS of articles on "the perfect LAMP" server

Check this out: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ApacheMySQLPHP and make sure to follow the instructions for your version of Ubuntu. Note that 9.04 is not listed there, just follow the instructions for the newest version.

As csabo2 pointed out, the HowToForge article is what I follow when setting up a LAMP server for web pages, FTP, etc...
