how to uninstall completely skype 2.0 on ubuntu 9.04

hello im trying to uninstall skype completely using the terminal because i installed it mistakenly on root..it does not appear on the add/remove programs. please help..im a newbie in using ubuntu.:)

Hi, to completely remove skype and its config files open a terminal and type

sudo apt-get --purge remove skype
