View Full Version : [ubuntu] cannot install because cannot unmount /cdrom

I've used UNetbootin to start installing Ubuntu because I don't have a working CD or USB drive. I've set up a swap partition and a / partition but then I get the following error message when I get to the final Install page:

The installer needs to commit changes to partition tables, but cannot do so because partitions on the following mount points could not be unmounted:

Please close any applications using these mount points

Would you like the installer to try to unmount these partitions again?

The partition devices look like this:

/dev/sda1 swap 213mb
/dev/sda2 / rest of my disk space

What should I do?
