Any camera with firewire port should.

I have a Sony Handicam with a 60 Gb hard drive. It's a good camera, although playback of their proprietary MPEG-2 container used to have these funky little lines. It's not an issue anymore, and converting the video to another format after editing completely gets rid of the problem.

uses flash memory and saves files in normal formats that are easily editable

Any miniDV cam will work. Plug it in (firewire) and pull the video right off to edit.

Any other kind of camera (non - miniDV) can possibly be a headache as you have to then convert the video, blah, etc. This is the same situation for any operating system.
