I love electronic music, but only a specific style. No, I don't know what that style is called. I do, however, like this type of music...

Stargazer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ya3SDQN7lQ0)
Aether (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS8gkJgfYcU)
Supermax (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JV427b_bRic)
and my number one favorite:
1995 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGx2uBNkxdc)

Got any recommendations? I'll look at anything from professional singles to Amiga MOD tracks. In case you didn't catch it, I am a fan of the Demoscene. Go ahead, show me what you've got.

Leftfield might be what your looking for.

Phat Planet. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKRESe23x4U)
One of my favourites, a few others might be Swords, Space Shanty and hmmm.... Open Up. They vary quite a bit try more than what I list.

You might also like Andy Hunter, though I'm less sure on that.

The forums aren't really a music recommendation service ya know :p.

Well, maybe not, but I was bored (failsafe excuse, applicable everywhere) and you people are helpful with just about everything else. Besides, I figure that if a "Last poster wins a trophy" thread can survive for 100 pages, then this one can survive for at least 1-2.

Very nice tracks from Leftfield. Space Shanty was very nice, though maybe a bit too trance-y. Phat Planet was awesome. Thank you.

Credobyte: Holy crap. That was awesome. Now if I can JUST filter out the lyrics, it would be amazing.

Stinger: Poked around a bit. Found two files I enjoyed, but unless you can play .IT files, you may not be able to hear them. (under windows, WinAmp and supposedly MediaPlayerClassic can play them.) I'm going to have to look around a bit more. Need to find a player for Ubuntu also. Thank alot.

Well, you should probably take a look at some of these c64 mixes (c64 came from Commodore, same folks that made the Amiga)

EDIT: This your style?

If you are demoscene fan you should probably know of chiptunes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiptunes). There are plenty of rips, and homebrew tunes, in a plethora of formats across various platoforms.

First I'd recommend grabbing audacious (http://audacious-media-player.org/), then at the very least installing uade (http://zakalwe.fi/uade/).

On the uade download page, they offer an rsync archive of Amiga chiptunes. (So it's just cut n paste, and you've got an instant archive that can easily be kept up to date, it's pretty great.)

Other formats that audacious supports include adlib (DOS), c64 (the wikipedia entry I linked has a link to the High Voltage SID archive), various Nintendo formats, look for 2A03.org or Famicompo...

Well just have fun searching through all that, you won't find things more authentic when it comes to electronic.
