Hi All,

I just upgraded from ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 through update manager, just before the update i was trying to install graphic adapter driver and then upgraded. Now it does not boot into ubuntu on the GRUB i see 3 diff version of ubuntu 9.04 and i cant boot in any of them.

As soon as i try to boot, red, blue, green, white etc color bars appear. As I am new to Linux I dont know what to do in this situation.

I tried the recovery console, it has the fix graphics problem automatically but that does not help...

ANy suggestion how to boot into Ubuntu? or roll back???

Please note I do not have a CD Rom atatched to the Laptop its a old Dell C400 Laptop. even ubs CD rom does not work..

Plz help :(

What happens when you choose Recovery Mode, and then do the fix graphics part?

nothing happens, it constantly tries to fix xserver but is unable to fix it.....

The Xserver is not loading or its not installed....
