View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to set User idle/away time?

Presently I am using Empathy IM as my primary messenger. But I am finding that if I remain idle for a very minimum period like say 2-3 minutes the icon changes to idle. There is no option in Empathy to change this idle time. I think that is because they are using gnome-session settings for this purpose.

I have also added the user switcher applet in the gnome panel and I am finding that when Empathy goes idle this user switcher applet also shows idle.

Is there any way that I can set the away time period so that I can choose the time as per my requirement.

Thanks in advance for your help.
