Over the last couple of days ive been upgrading my system from ubuntu 8.04 where i had got the kubuntu desktop installed, to 9.04 via 8.10.
since upgrading to 8.10 (and 9.04) every time i log in to use kde, the gnome panels are still present. the kde menu isnt there when i log in as gnome. I cant figure out how to make it go away. i dont want to uninstall the gnome desktop, but i really enjoy using kde and prefer it.
has anyone had this problem? and are there any solutions?
